Display density - modern security rooms monitor 20-100+ camera feeds via NVR/DVR systems. Consoles must support 2-4 monitors per operator with unobstructed sightlines to a shared video wall.
Cable and equipment management - security consoles house multiple CPUs, often KVM-configured, plus NVR connections and separate power/data cabling. Poor cable management creates safety risks and slows access during live incidents.
